About Us

This company was created by Jay Valimont Sr. and Kenneth Dwyer. The two met in 1984 while working for Allied Rawal, an HVAC service and installation company. Jay left Allied Rawal in 1985, but the two continued their friendship. They would do side work together, mostly for friends or acquaintances.   Jay soon convinced Ken to leave the security of his job to join him to work for themselves and be their own bosses. On July 1, 1987, at 25 and 28 years old, the two set off on the adventure of building a business together. All American Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. was born.

The first warehouse of All American was the garage at Jay’s home. The corporate office was the kitchen. The hours were long and at first only one vendor would give them credit secured by Jay’s promise to return two days later with payment. He kept his promise, and a wonderful 36-year relationship was forged.  As the months passed, the garage became too small to house the equipment, with condensers stacked in the driveway of his home, Jay and Ken rented a small warehouse space to house their inventory and a few fabricating machines that they had purchased. As the business began to steadily grow, it was evident that they needed to find a suitable, more permanent home for not only their shop and warehouse, but also the business office and 2 company rack body trucks, that they had purchased. In 1990, an opportunity arose for the purchase of a local commercial plaza that would be perfect for the growing company and provide income property as well. Jay took out a second mortgage on his own home, and together they purchased 20 Potuccos Ring Road in Wolcott.

The company continued to grow, adding a plumbing division to its list of services. It joined with the State of Connecticut’s apprenticeship program to give newly graduated apprentices the opportunity to gain training and valuable mandatory hours toward their HVAC and Plumbing trade licenses. The company continued to grow, increasing its presence in the state and creating a reputation for quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

By 2004, the company had grown too large for the Potuccos Ring location. Jay and Ken decided to form an LLC, Boundline Partners, and purchased land on Boundline Road in Wolcott. They had a building constructed to accommodate their business as well as three others. It is the present-day home of the company.

In 2018, Ken decided to step away from the company to pursue other interests. Jay purchased Ken’s share of the company and they parted as good friends. Jay continued to grow the company, taking on larger projects. He was proud to have worked with national companies such as Toll Brothers and WCI.

In 36 years, despite economic recessions and even global pandemics, All American has continued to grow and prosper, creating job opportunities and delivering quality installation and service to their loyal customers.
